I wasn't expecting to hear much other than insects, maybe some frogs, but even out in the middle of a field, the sounds of the road are deafening. A bit through recording West, 120º cone, I hear an animal stalking through the prairie. Even though there were other people at the park, I'm sure it wasn't a dog. I left the recorder as it was for a while, and then switched to a tighter cone to see if I could get less distracting noises and pinpoint any other creatures in the field. No luck. There is another interesting but transient sound at the beginning of East, 90º cone, but that recording ended because my SD card ran out of storage.
